Prorace has reached an agreement with the German company Carbonsport, manufacturer of the famous Lightweight wheels. As a result of this agreement, Prorace bikes can now be ordered with optional “Lightweight for Prorace” wheels.
Lightweight shares our attention for quality, exclusivity and perfection. We both have high standards for reliability and precision. Lightweight creates top of the range carbon wheel sets with an exceptional low weight and high rigidity. All Lightweight wheels are "Handmade in Gernmany" in the CarbonWorks plants in Friedrichshafen en Hailfingen
All regular Lightweight models such as the Standard, Ventoux, Sprint and Obermayer are available as an option on Prorace bikes. From a technical point of view, the wheels are identical to the wheels that are sold under the Lightweight logo, only the design differs. For Prorace, it was important that we could use the Lightweight wheels in our CHYPS paint system. Your "Lightweight for Prorace" wheels will be painted in a color and design that matches your Prorace frame. Obviously, we took great care to reduce the weight of the paint to the absolute minimum, so we wouldn't add any unnecessary weight to these superlight wheels.
So if you like an exclusive bike, you can now choose a custom color for your Prorace frame, your Prorace Python handlebar and your "Lightweight for Prorace" wheels. This results in a superb esthetics, combined with the Prorace and Lightweight quality.
All bikes with “Lightweight for Prorace” wheels will be equipped with handmade Italian Veloflex tubulars and a Stan’s Tire Sealant kit.
